Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Following an idea conceived in 1943 the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) Piacenza campus became a reality in January 1953.
The interest generated by the two programs (Agricultural Sciences and Economics) has always been very strong, due in part to their research centres, specialized labs, and teaching methodologies. With the subsequent development of three other Programs (Law, Education Sciences, and Sociology), the Piacenza campus today hosts over 3,000 students.

The 1/12 professor/student ratio makes the Piacenza campus a "custom-made" experience with nearly 75% of students completing their degrees. It is a highly specialized structure, with technological labs recognized by Sinal (National System for Lab Accreditation), and with important connections in the professional world both within the country, as well as abroad. Numerous stage and exchange programs (education and training exchange programs, such as Socrates, Erasmus, Overseas, Leonardo, Double Degree in International Management) are offered in order to allow students the opportunity of practically applying their newly gained knowledge.
